Signs Now Announces Scholarship Recipients

PLYMOUTH, Mich. (Aug. 29, 2012)—Signs Now, a division of Allegra Network LLC, recently partnered with the Electronic Document Scholarship Foundation (EDSF), an international, non-profit organization dedicated to the document management and communications industries, to administer five new  scholarships totaling $10,000 for the 2012 academic year. The scholarships will support students who are preparing for careers in the printing and document communications industries.

The awards were established as part of a recognition program to honor Signs Now franchisees for outstanding achievements. Bernard Haun, vice president of marketing and communications, Signs Now, said, “We are proud to recognize some of the leaders in our franchise network for their efforts in  the industry and also for their dedication to their communities. These scholarships in their honor are a reflection of their hard work.” 

The scholarships were awarded based on scholastic achievement, honors received and participation in school activities, along with community service and organizational affiliations. Eligibility requirements include a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale and full-time student status.  

The recipients of the 2012 scholarships are:

Samantha Ragusin – College of Dupage, in honor of Signs Now of Downers Grove, Ill.; owners Jim and Marlene Krick

Zoë Symon – North Carolina State University, honoring Signs Now of Chapel Hill, N.C.; owners John and Tamsy Stokes

 Tyler Freriks – University of South Florida, in honor of Signs Now of Carrollwood, Fla., (Tampa area); owner Peter Lewis

Kaylynn Olmstead – Ringling School of Art and Design, in honor of Signs Now of Sarasota, Fla.; owners Brian and Debbie Lamb

Rachel Vernon – East Tennessee State, honoring Signs Now of Nashville, Tenn.; owner Ed McCullar
