SIGNS NOW FORT MYERS COMPLETES DRIVING SAFETY VEHICLE PROJECT
WRAP MENTIONED IN U.S. DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION NATIONAL BLOG
Fort Myers, Fla. (Jan. 29, 2010)—Signs Now Fort Myers was recently hired by the Fort Myers Police Department and Stay Alive….Just Drive! (SAJD) to produce and install a full vehicle wrap promoting the dangers of distracted driving. The project was completed late last year and was featured in a December 23rd entry on "Welcome to the Fast Lane," The Official Blog of the U.S. Secretary of Transportation.
SAJD has been working in conjunction with the Fort Myers Police Department on banning texting while driving locally, state wide, and nationally. The wrapped 2000 Ford F150 truck mainly goes to schools to help teach children the dangers of distracted driving.
The team at Signs Now Fort Myers used their Mimaki JV3 and Seal 62Pro with 3M IJ180CV3 and 3M 8518 Gloss Laminate for the wrap. They used 3M IJ8171 Perf with 3M 8914 Optically Clear Laminate to complete the installation. The whole project took about one week. Signs Now Fort Myers owner Mark Kausalik feels the benefits of such a project are immeasurable.
“As a result of the first wrap, we have continued to work on small projects for both of these organizations,” explained Kausalik. “Not only is it nice to continue in a productive client relationship, but it is truly rewarding to be able to promote a cause that is so vital to the education of current and future drivers.”
Stay Alive .... Just Drive! is a traffic crash prevention, awareness and education program aimed at curbing distracted driving and promoting safe driving. Today, most people consider unsafe driving as a major personal threat to themselves and others. Ultimately the organization’s goal is to reach every motorist, at least once a day with their message.
The Signs Now Fort Myers service base includes business solutions for outdoor and indoor signage, banners, window and vehicle graphics, exhibit and trade show graphics, ADA signage, dimensional letters, directional systems and other visual communications tools.
